beach poems

30 Aug

purple starfishunderwater seaweed crabsbarnacles and mussels**************

We returned home on Tuesday from a wonderful two-week holiday that we spent exploring Salt Spring and Vancouver Islands. What fun it was to hike beach trails, find our way to an artisan bakery and a goat cheese factory, attend the Saturday market, and generally make friends with some beautiful spots on our B.C. coastline.

The photos that are the background to today’s poems were taken on the Booth Bay beach, at the west end of Baker Road on Salt Spring. We happened to hit it at low tide!

This post is submitted to Poetry Friday, hosted by Sylvia Vardell at Poetry For Children.

Love the ‘no vacancy’, & the photo too. Amazing things to see at low tide. Thanks, Violet, for poetry on the trail.

Thank you Linda. I took a short video with my camera of those crabs scuttling back and forth. I’m tempted to upgrade my WP account so I can post it. That little spot of rocks and seaweed reminded me of a daycare center!

Okay, now you’ve convinced me. I’d really like to see B.C (and you) someday. It could happen.

Beautiful photos! I’m glad you had a lovely time.

Tracy, you must do that–visit! B.C. has many pretty spots, with the Gulf Islands being some of our favorites. I’d love to show you around!!

We never know what tomorrow holds. I would love to finally meet you. It’s possible, someday. I will certainly let you know as soon as it looks even remotely like it’s going to happen.

Thank you, Tabatha. (You must have seen the comment on my promptings blog? about scrapbooking?) Yes, I’ve memorialized many of our vacations on promptings. When I do it, it’s like I experience them all over again.

When I originally left a comment I seem to have clicked on the -Notify me when
new comments are added- checkbox and from now on each time a comment is added I get 4 emails
with the exact same comment. Is there a means you can remove me
    from that service? Appreciate it!

Sorry but I can’t remove you from anything. You’ll have to do that yourself and I’m not sure how. I think you’ll do it from your WordPress dashboard.

Go into the ‘Blogs I follow,’ tab and click the edit button, then remove the blog and/or comments you want to unfollow.
